Interesting facts about common heather

Heather is a small shrub up to 1 m tall, with a woody creeping stem and small pink flowers. It grows mainly on sandy peat soils in sunny locations. Its aerial parts are collected, but the highest concentration of active compounds is found in the flower, which contains in particular catechin tannins, as well as flavonoids, the alkaloid ericolin, essential oils, bitters, resins and a range of minerals. Heather is an all-round underrated, universally acting herb.

It excels particularly in its calming and relaxing effects, but can also be used for a range of other supportive purposes. It can be applied in various forms such as tea or balm, but the most effective form is the bud tincture.

This heather bud tincture is produced by the small family company Naděje Byliny in Brodek u Konice, as are all other herbal and plant products available under their brand. Production places emphasis on quality and maximum utilisation of the beneficial effects of plant buds on the human body. All buds come from plants and trees that grow in their own gardens.

Recommended dosage

Daily dose = the number of drops corresponding to body weight divided into two or three daily doses (e.g. for a total body weight of 60 kg, divide the dose into 2 x 30 drops or 3 x 20 drops)
